In South Korea, Landing International Development Limited has announced that its Landing Casino inside the Hyatt Regency Jeju hotel has come top of an anti-money laundering assessment carried out by the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit for a second consecutive year.

Hong Kong-listed Landing International Development Limited, which also operates the Les Ambassadeurs Club in London, revealed that the recent investigation evaluated every one of the 17 casinos in South Korea and declared that the score achieved by Landing Casino was testimony to its “continuous efforts at ensuring transparent operations and enforcing the introduction of international compliance standards and practices” for the casino industry on Jeju Island.

“I’m proud that Landing Casino has once again topped the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit’s anti-money laundering assessment in 2016 with an outstanding rating,” said Yang Zhihui, Executive Chairman for Landing International Development Limited.

“Since commencing operations in 2014, Landing Casino has adopted operation and control systems that are in accordance with international standards and practices.”

Landing International Development Limited operates Landing Casino via its Landing Entertainment Korea Company Limited subsidiary, which was formerly known as Grand Express Korea Company Limited, and stated that the assessment comes as local provincial governor Hee-Ryong Won continues his efforts at bringing global casino standards to the island by strengthening the powers of the local Casino Regulation Division, revising relevant ordinances and regulations and forming the Jeju Casino Supervisory Committee.

“We will continue to work closely with the relevant administration to further improve our operations and governance standards and contribute to the sustained development of the tourism industry on Jeju Island,” said Zhihui.

One of eight casinos currently permitted on Jeju Island, Landing Casino features almost 30 gaming tables offering baccarat, blackjack, poker, Tai Sai and roulette along with a selection of slots. The facility moreover has five uniquely-decorated private salons while Landing International Development Limited proclaimed that its staff of some 250 welcome players from all over the world.
