Maverick Gaming LLC has closed on the purchase of CC Gaming LLC, the largest casino operator in the state of Colorado. The acquisition of the company will see Maverick Gaming add more than 1,500 slot machines to their portfolio along with 20 table games. A total of 119 hotel rooms will be added to the overnight guest accommodation offering.
Gaming and Non-Gaming Assets:
With the deal, Maverick Gaming will be acquiring both gaming and non-gaming assets. Included in the acquisition is the Z Casino, Grand Z Casino hotel, Johnny Z’s and Z Stop Convenience Store and Gas station. The Black Hawk/Central City area is one of the top gaming markets in the United States, based on information by the American Gaming Association and will help Maverick Gaming to extend their brand.
The majority owner of the company and affiliates, Eric Persson, commented on the new acquisition by stating that Maverick is excited to bring the Z Gaming properties into their portfolio. They are committed to investing in the new properties and adding value to the Denver, Colorado gaming market.
Persson stated further that the purchase gives the brand sports betting in two states. They look forward to adding more jurisdictions in the future.
The transaction involving CC Gaming LLC primarily involved cash on hand as well as financing via HG Vora Capital Management.
Other 2019 Deals:
Maverick has been busy this year taking on new gaming acquisitions. This past summer, the brand acquired Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc., with the purchase completed in June. With the acquisition, Maverick began their foray into Washington. The deal included nine card rooms in Washington state with the majority of the locations in Seattle.
