In Minnesota, the Running Aces Casino & Racetrack recently broke ground on a new 116-room hotel, a joint venture between facility owner RAHP, LLC and franchisor of brands consisting of extended-stay and select-service hotels, GrandStay Hospitality, LLC.

Minneapolis-based architectural firm The Cuningham Group and Truline Construction out of Monticello are working on the development of the hotel which is expected to open in early December next year.
Groundbreaking attendees:
Attending the November groundbreaking for the hotel was President and Chief Executive officer for Running Aces Casino & Racetrack, Taro Ito along with city and county officials and local residents.
Commenting on the new addition, Ito said…
“We are excited to be given the opportunity to offer locals and those visiting the Twin Cities a top-quality
entertainment/destination venue.
“When completed, Running Aces will offer something for everyone: gamers, horse enthusiasts, family and business travelers, and most of all local Twin City residents looking for a fun night or two of entertainment.”
Exclusivity agreement:
In 2016, an exclusivity agreement was signed by Running Aces with GrandStay Hospitality, LLC and with the
addition of its newest property, there will be 20 GrandStay properties across the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Located in Columbus, Minnesota, Running Aces is open 24/7 and is the Twin Cities’ premier card room and entertainment destination. The racino features a summer live harness horse racing season. The property’s more than 650 employees have been serving up the best in cards, simulcast and entertainment and food since 2008.
