iGaming Business – Online gaming operator Unibet has cited the performance of its mobile and sportsbook operations as the main reasons behind a year-on-year jump in revenue during the three months through to the end of September.
Gross winnings revenue for the third quarter totalled £80.4 million (€101.8 million/$129.7 million), up from the £64 million generated during the corresponding period in the previous year.
Profit from operations jumped from £9.2 million last year to £18.1 million while profit after tax increased from £8.2 million in the third quarter of 2013 to £16.5 million in Q3 of this year.
Earnings per share for the third quarter amounted to £0.585, up from £0.292 in the same period last year.
The third-quarter success places Unibet’s gross winnings revenue for the nine months through to the end of September this year at £234 million, up from the £193.6 million recorded at the same point last year.
