The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) has announced that it is expecting to welcome a record number of lawmakers to its three-day Winter Meeting early next month to discuss and learn about a plethora of topics.

Harrah’s New Orleans to host:

The organization comprised of legislators from states that currently host gaming operations used an official Tuesday press release to detail that its Winter Meeting is scheduled to take place at Harrah’s New Orleans from January 4 to 6 and will include a keynote address from the former Republican Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie.

Diverse agenda:

The NCLGS explained that 42 legislators from some 18 states are expected to attend its upcoming Louisiana event, which is to be open to the public, to take part in a series of six sessions that are to focus on issues as diverse as parimutuel wagering, emerging forms of gaming and new lotteries.

Pair of IMGL MasterClasses:

Ohio State Senator William Coley (pictured), President for the NCLGS, stated that the Winter Meeting is also due to see in excess of 200 visitors turn up in order to attend a pair of MasterClasses being presented by the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) alongside numerous networking breaks and a 90-minute reception event.

Coley’s statement read…

“After setting the all-time record for attendance at our conference this past summer, I am happy to see that we already have even more legislators confirmed to attend our Winter Meeting in New Orleans. These are the legislators who will be determining gaming policy in their respective states throughout the country and we invite everyone who is interested in great public policy to join us in New Orleans.”
