Keeping in line with the classic fruit-style slot game, online software developer, NetEnt, has announced the release of Double Stacks, a new online slot game patterned after a popular theme. The game was inspired by lightshow-style graphics of land-based slots and includes quality features such as stacked symbols, extra spins and Double Stacks.
Classic Theming:
They say don’t ruin a good thing and NetEnt has done just that with Double Stacks. The fruity classic offers a 5×3 grid and includes all the classic symbols, from cherries to lemons, watermelons, diamonds and 7s. Watch as the falling fruit lands on the reels, in the hopes of earning the right combination for a big win!
In the new title, the Double Stacks feature is utilized, which doubles all stack symbols that land in a flush pattern in the reel. Extra spins are also offered, and during the extras, players will find that wilds can double up.
According to a press release…
NetEnt’s Chief Product Officer, Henrik Fagerlund, commented: “We wanted to celebrate the enduring appeal of fruit style video slots and are delighted with the results. The key to Double Stacks is ageless simplicity, combined with radiant visuals—we are sure it will be a hit with old school players and newcomers alike.”
Moving into the US:
On top of the new game launch, it was recently announced that NetEnt is looking to enter the United States online gaming industry in Pennsylvania. The top-rated supplier of digitally distributed gaming systems is currently based in Sweden. The company has reportedly submitted an application in Pennsylvania to obtain licensing to offer their online casino games to online gaming operators in the state. A law was passed in October 2017 that would allow for online gaming to legally take place and applications are currently being reviewed for licensing for the new industry.
