This week, London has played host to ICE Totally Gaming 2018, with the best of the best in the gaming industry on hand to showcase their wares, including leading digital gaming solutions provider NetEnt. During the conference, NetEnt demonstrated their multi-faceted offering showcasing their diverse selection of new products, including advancements in live casino gaming as well as virtual reality (VR), new branded games and a media buying program.

At the center of the presentation was virtual reality (VR) content, with the operator showcasing its new game titled Gonzo’s Quest VR. The game was displayed in an operator-ready format and is fully playable. According to the press release, the new game is a first for the iGaming industry as a web VR slot machine has never been released until now. State-of-the-art virtual reality technology was used during the creation of the game to allow the slot to be enjoyed via web browser instead of players needing to download an application for gameplay. With Web VR, the new game genre is easily accessed by players.

NetEnt boasts that Gonzo’s Quest VR is a true omni-channel creation as players only need to log in via mobile or desktop to an online casino, press VR tab and then be ready to play. A VR headset is required to place yourself into the world of Gonzo. The game was created in HTML5 format and uses real-time 3D. Players will have access to this new game by summer 2018.

NetEnt CEO Per Eriksson commented on the new game by stating: “As a first-mover in virtual reality (VR), NetEnt has been at the forefront of igaming’s application of the technology since revealing its plans for VR in 2016.

“NetEnt is continuously investigating in new ways of developing and distributing games and firmly believes VR has the potential to be an important channel in the future.”

During their ICE showcase, NetEnt also displayed other new titles they are offering in 2018. This includes the brand-new Jumanji™ video slot game, plus Narcos™ and Vikings™ titles. Another title added to the gaming portfolio of the company is a multi-table 3-D live casino option. NetEnt partnered with Mr Green on the concept and highlighted the new option on the first day of the conference. With this offering, digital technology was used to enhance gameplay for a better experience for the player.

Also at NetEnt’s stand N3-242, the company provided information on their collaboration with Ve Global (VE) to create a media buying program that is dedicated to the online gaming industry. With this service, operators can increase how effective and accurate they are with marketing campaigns. The solution provided by NetEnt and Ve Global helps to boost retention rates as well as increase brand awareness while at the same time reducing acquisition costs for operators.
