The American public may soon have another “rescue and makeover” television series to choose from as Gary Green, iconic casino “boss”, author, and television personality searches for casinos to “turn around” when he appears before industry standouts at the 2016 Global Gaming Expo (G2E) as it returns to Las Vegas September 26 – 29 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, according to G3 Newswire.
Green commented on the quest, “Nationwide television exposure for the casino plus a state-of-the-art makeover and marketing program, all part of a genuine turnaround; what more could a struggling casino ask for?”
Green is the star of the new television series “Casino Rescue,” in development with Frogwater Media. The new series will consist of troubled casinos receiving a “makeover” by Green’s team of casino experts, with a dose of the star’s own marketing magic for good measure. The host added, “We have already struck deals with vendors, designers, regulatory experts, financial experts, and a whole array [of] casino experts who are eager to help turn around troubled properties. This is an operation that most casinos could never afford,” according to the news agency.
A Pulitzer-nominated best-selling author, by 1979 Green was in Atlantic City, New Jersey working with casinos, where he patented a casino management system based on customer relationships. He counts Donald Trump and Synergy Gaming as former employers, in his one-time role as vice-president of marketing and player development, and executive vice president, respectively. He is well-known and recognized as being one of the most knowledgeable people in the casino industry and is a colorful marketing character. He’s appeared on Trump’s reality game show The Apprentice and is the managing partner of private equity group, The Gaming Group. Green is the spokesman and outside senior consultant to the president for Ortiz Gaming USA, and the author of the recently released book “Osceola’s Revenge – the phenomena of Indian casinos.”
Alan Morell, Green’s agent, sold both the new J. Boylston & Co. published book and the television series.
