Malta-licensed online casino operator Cashmio has reportedly hired Tobias Regnestam to serve as its Chief Operating Officer with the fresh recruit set to start his new duties from Monday.

According to a report from Gambling Insider, Regnestam was previously employed as an affiliates manager for Stockholm-based Mr Green and Company AB and began his career in the online gaming industry as an ambassador for Casumo in 2013 after establishing a firm that sold clothing through retail stores in Sweden.

Cashmio, which offers a selection of over 600 online video slots to players in German, English, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish, was only launched last year and reportedly markets itself as ‘the world’s happiest casino’. It’s Chief Executive Officer, Maria Boelius, purportedly declared that she is ‘super excited’ to be welcoming Regnestam before describing him as a ‘perfect match’ that is sure to help the operator ‘take the next step in becoming a serious player in the gaming market’.

“He will be part of our management team and contribute in structuring our company and workflow with overall responsibility over customer acquisition,” reportedly read a statement from Boelius.

For his part, Regnestam reportedly stated that it was a ‘great honor’ to be joining Cashmio while additionally proclaiming that he was looking forward to ‘joining [its] already amazing crew’ in order to see ‘what great things we will be able to accomplish together moving forward’.
