The World Series of Poker (WSOP), the tournament with the longest tradition and the highest popularity among the players, announced the new live tournament poker series called WSOP Paradise.
Record-breaking tournaments:
After the successful summer season, the WSOP partnered up with GGPoker to break another in the prestigious tournament this winter. And where’s better to spend the winter break than in the Bahamas? The players will gather at Atlantis Paradise Island on the island from December 3 to December 14 with the same goal: to achieve one of the fantastic huge prizes.
This summer, the 54th annual WSOP broke records. It was held at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, located on the Strip, and everyone hopes that the new Paradise will be the next one to break the records.
WSOP Paradise will be offering 15 bracelet events, with a guaranteed prize pool of $50 million. The $5.000 Main Event prize is included in the prize pool, and the event itself has a $15 million prize pool guarantee. There is also a $1.500 Mystery Bounty, where the guarantee is $5.000 million.
For the ones who are ready to take a risk and bet on higher amounts, there is a $100k event with a prize pool of guaranteed $5 million, as well as a $50k event with a guarantee of $2 million. In addition, the organizers prepared two Pot Limit Omaha events with seven-figure guaranteed pools, as well as a signature event of the tournament, $25,000 GGMillion$, with a total prize of $10 million.
Ty Stewart, SVP & Executive Director of the WSOP, said in the press release: “The summer was an unprecedented success, but the vision is equally as ambitious for WSOP Paradise. We have the strongest online partner in the world, and they are set to send a record number of qualifiers to a live tournament. Atlantis also has a great legacy in poker, and we believe this combination of partners can deliver poker’s most powerful new franchise for years to come. Many players say summer in Vegas is the best time of year. We hope that will only be rivalled by winter in Paradise.”
GGPoker’s involvement:
GGPoker, the partner of the tournament, sent 774 players to the Main Event of the summer season’s tournament, and this winter, that number will be increased, so the company will send at least 1.000 players. All details about the qualifiers and tournament will be available on the company’s website.
Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker Global Ambassador, said: “GGPoker is delighted to launch WSOP Paradise and welcome hundreds of players from all over the world to Atlantis Paradise Island this December. It’s going to be an absolutely amazing experience, the best of poker, at one of the world’s most luxurious resorts!”
The full schedule of the events will be released in a few months, and the WSOP has the right to cancel or rearrange any tournament event or the tournament itself without any previous notice.
