After hosting their grand opening at the end of June, Ocean Resort Casino has now launched their online casino site. Partnered with GAN, an award-winning developer and supplier of online gaming software, the Ocean Online Casino is now live.
Residents of New Jersey as well as visitors of the state can visit the site and log in to enjoy online casino games like slots and table games. The platform provided by GAN will allow guests of the site to use their Ocean Premier account to earn rewards. Ocean Premier is the loyalty program of the casino that can be linked to the player’s online casino account.
Once a reward card is linked, players can enjoy online game play and earn reward points that can be used on-site. Players can also use their reward card at the casino and earn points that can then be used for online game play.
Right now, the online casino only offers traditional gaming. In the future, Ocean Resort plans on adding sports betting. By fall of 2018, sports betting should be launched via the site, subject to commercial and regulatory approvals.
In a press release, GAN CEO, Dermot Smurfit, commented on the new casino launch by stating: “Ocean Resort Casino is a fabulous casino property, unarguably offering the best quality gaming & hotel in Atlantic City, which has now been optimized for success by the new ownership and leadership. We’re privileged to bring this immense property to life online, just as it relaunches in the traditional retail casino market. We’re excited to deliver not just another ‘me too’ Internet casino, but to also bring online for the first time the capabilities unlocked only by GAN’s convergence Patent which may give casino patrons in New Jersey a compelling economic rationale to play online with Ocean Resort Casino rather than established incumbent casino operators already online in this fast-growing market. Ocean Resort Casino is anticipated to be material to GAN’s revenue and earnings in H2 2018.”
The launch marks the 14th time that GAN has licensed a United States Patent to a casino in the nation and the second brick-and-mortar venue in New Jersey to partner with the brand to use their real money online gaming and virtual Simulated Gaming.
