The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation will unveil their new $43 million casino on Wednesday on a hill overlooking Omak and the Okanogan Valley in Washington. The tribe’s Okanagon Casino on Apple Way will close when the new facility opens.
The 12 Tribes Resort Casino boasts a 56,000 square foot gaming floor with over 500 electronic gaming machines. Gaming tables include blackjack, roulette and craps, and the poker room from Okanogan will be re-situated in the new facility as well. About 200 people will be employed or re-employed at the new facility which will be open 24 hours a day.
An 80 room hotel with a heated 40 ft by 20 ft heated pool and indoor/outdoor sauna area and full service spa will open on Monday the 22nd of June. Grand Opening ceremonies for the entire facility will be held in July. The tribe broke ground on the complex in June 2014.
The casino resort is named for the 12 tribes of the Colville Reservation.
The property features two restaurants and a coffee/sweets shop along with two nightlife venues; Evolution Lounge and Element 78. Evolution offers a club experience while Element 78 is located on the casino floor.
Patrons entering the building will be greeted by a lighted water sculpture that flows ceiling to floor. Pathways are well marked in tile and carpet to help guide under-aged guests with their parents past the gaming floor to eateries and the hotel. The minimum age to gamble or be on the casino floor or poker room at 12 Tribes Casino is 18.
