Late last week, an online casino was launched via the Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) with SkyCity Malta. Customers in New Zealand will now have access to a first-class online casino gaming experience via GiG fully managed by the gaming company.
SkyCity Partnership:
Its Malta branch is a subsidiary of SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited, a company based in the island nation. GiG is a long-term, Tier 1 partner of SkyCity Malta and the announcement of the new online casino launch from the two comes just after GiG signed an agreement in May with SkyCity for the provision of their turnkey and fully managed online casino solution.
The turnkey solution includes the technical platform, gaming content, fully managed services, front end development, marketing, compliance and CRM. The online casino is being operated from Malta for SkyCity by GiG. The partnership is expected to help the sports betting company earn more revenues from 2020 and beyond.
According to a press release…
SkyCity Chief Executive Officer, Graeme Stephens, commented on the new online casino launch by stating: “This is an exciting day for SkyCity and one we have been working towards for some time alongside SkyCity Malta and our partner GiG. While ultimately a regulated online gaming market in New Zealand remains the preferred solution, the site launch is another step on our journey of pursuing opportunities to grow and diversify our earnings, addressing a new, fast growing industry which is highly complementary to our land-based activities and offering customers a multi-channel gaming experience.”
Romanian Affiliate Licensing:
The announcement of the new online casino operation in New Zealand comes just one month after Gaming Innovation Group announced the approval of an affiliate license in Romania. The company was provided a Class II license by the National Office for Gambling, which is the regulatory body of the country.
The license will allow the firm to provide services in the online gambling market of Romania via their Media Services division. The group will be able to refer traffic to operators of online casino and sports betting that are licensed in the country.
