iGaming Business – Online lottery provider Jumbo Interactive has completed the launch of its internet lottery brokerage business across all 16 German state lotteries.

As reported by iGaming Business in July 2013, Jumbo was awarded licences to sell official lotteries via web and mobile in each of the country’s states.

The Saarland state lottery last week successfully completed the establishment phase ahead of schedule, enabling Jumbo to progress onto the customer acquisition phase.

Jumbo said it will now look to attract enough customers to generate sufficient sales to cover fixed costs, excluding marketing.

The firm will follow this up with a secondary goal of generating sufficient sales to cover all costs including marketing, at which point the business will be cash flow positive.

Mike Veverka, chief executive officer of Jumbo Interactive, said: “Jumbo is now the only company in Germany with its own in-house developed software platform connected to all 16 states in Germany.
