PAGCOR, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, has decided to provide a Provisional License to Millennium Pan-Asia Hotel and Resort Inc. so that the company can create a new integrated resort and casino in the Philippine province of Cebu in the Central Visayas region. The property would be located in Mandaue City and cost $300 million to construct.

According to Agbrief.com, the new development will provide a hub of modern entertainment, with Millennium creating a quality gaming facility along with leisure and entertainment options as well. Hotels will be constructed for overnight guests as well as restaurants, shopping areas, a theater and more.

A press release by the company indicated that the integrated resort will open by 2020 during the third quarter. Millennium CEO Justin Xiao commented on the new integrated resort by stating he feels the property will be a ‘world class entertainment center’ and a popular place in the region.

Xiao also stated that a minimum of 4000 jobs should be created from the casino and resort project with Cebu seeing a boost in both the economy as well as tourism. The company is also committed to creating a foundation that will focus on the enhancement of cultural heritage to give back to the community.
