Coral, a brand of British-based betting and gambling company Ladbrokes Coral Group (LSE: LCL), has reportedly launched its Coral Connect App just in time for the upcoming football season. The mobile companion to the 2014-launched single wallet Coral Connect card, the app is available for download in the App and Google Play stores, according to G3 Newswire.
The new app is designed for use across all channels, including bet stations, gaming machines and over the counter. It is expected to be the ideal retail companion for all holders of Connect accounts and will provide the most recent information prior to and after bet.
According to the Coral Help Centre, punters can bet how and when they like; “with Connect, you can bet and game with Coral in shop, online, on mobile/tablet or over the phone using one account.” Punters can reportedly deposit cash at any of the Ladbrokes Coral Group’s thousands of shops across the UK.
According to the news release, the star of the app is the bet tracker. It is a feature unique to the Coral app, in its ability to monitor over the counter bets. Bets can be tracked by punters either by scanning their receipt bar code or by entering their bet number which can be found on their receipt. The most favored coupons will possess cash out features which reportedly puts punters in control of those bets.
Additionally, the new Coral app will reportedly boast a section for news and features which will highlight current form and will stream live sporting events, including tennis, racing and football, along with other markets. Users need only touch a button to reveal their account balance as well as cash out options and any promotions. Another feature includes available game stat updates, which will be located on a selection of the football coupons. They will reportedly include shots on target, number of corners and possession percentage.
Commenting on the new app, Head of Omni-Channel Product for Ladbrokes Coral, Darren Calvia, said, “The Coral Connect App is a market-leading way for our customers to enhance their shop experience with us. We know that our customers’ appetite for more flexible and engaging products is greater than ever before and this latest iteration of Connect bridges the gap between retail and online to provide the omni-channel experience they want,” according to G3Newswire.
The bookmaker recently announced it had entered into a new betting partnership with English professional football club Sunderland A.F.C. that will see it provide its arena, the Stadium of Light, with comprehensive match day betting service for each of its league and cup games for the entire 2017-18 football season.
