Known far and wide for excellent convention centers and attendant amenities, Las Vegas Sands Corp subsidiary Sands China Limited will collaborate with MICE India and Luxury Travel (MILT) Congress 2017 to showcase the newly opened Parisian Macao in Cotai in association with the event’s new Platinum Partner, Venetian Macao. The MILT Congress offers a platform for MICE (Meetings, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition) and luxury travel sourcing for travel from India. The Parisian Macao opened September 13, 2016.
In a press release, Stephanie Tanpure, Executive Director of Sales for Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao said, “The property, which is the Venetian Cotai’s flagship property, is set to take the Indian MICE market by storm. It is through channels like MILT Congress that The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao are able to reinstate their offering to the Indian market.”
The MILT Congress is organized by Dubai-based QnA International, a company boasting high profile clients in the banking, travel and tourism, software, and luxury retail trades among others. This will be the fifth year of the congress which has grown from a small gathering of important players to a premier B2B networking platform hosting leaders of industry representing India’s biggest film producers, top corporations, and destination wedding planners for the rich and famous.
India has the highest business travel growth rate in the world. The 5th Annual MICE India & Luxury Travel Congress 2017 will occur in the financial capital of the country, Mumbai and in the political capital, Delhi. Each city will see two days of conferences – Mumbai on July 27th & 28th, 2017 and in Delhi on August 1st and 2nd, 2017. The two-day conference in 2016 saw some 2,250 meetings hosted.
The congress facilitates meetings by Indian executives with global hospitality and travel suppliers seeking long lasting alliances and the ability to offer discount packages for future MICE & Luxury Travel purposes.
Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao (澳門金沙酒店) has seen strong business from the Indian market, according to Tanpure. “Our numbers are up 20% year-on-year from Indian travelers and we feel confident about the Indian market. We are very happy to see this steady increase in the number of Indian visitor arrivals to our integrated resorts. The response we saw this year from the MICE Segment alone was very promising,” Tanpure explained.
The Parisian Macao is a well rounded integrated casino resort inspired by the city of Paris, France, and features a one-half scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. Included in the offering are 3,000 luxurious guest rooms and suites, 55,972 sq ft (5,200 sqm) of total meeting space including a grand ballroom, 5 meeting rooms, 2 boardrooms, a fully equipped business center, outdoor event space, and the 1,200 seat Parisian Theatre.
Guests will also find international restaurants, Le Spa’Tique, health club, pool deck with Aqua World themed water park and many other amenities. Sands Shoppes at Parisian offers the largest indoor shopping mall in Macao with more than 850 duty-free outlets.
“It is very important to understand changing preferences of the Indian market and benchmark from the many success stories. The need to source the right destination for the MICE activities is very prominent; it is about finding it all under one roof,” explained Mr. Ackash Jain, a Director at QnA International in an early January release. “This is where the MILT Congress comes in,” he said.
“As the organizers of MILT Congress, our objective has always been to bring the best destinations and suppliers from all over the world to meet C-level executives from the region. The event’s visitors are decision-makers on all aspects related to procurement in the MICE, business, and luxury travel activities.”
