Casinos in the state of Pennsylvania have reported a nice increase in table gaming revenue based on the latest gross revenue reports released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board from last month. For the month of November, the state saw an increase of just over 7% when compared to November of last year.
The monthly gaming report showed that the gross revenues for table games for November came in at $70,237,664 which is 7.1% higher than the $65,579,696 earned the same month in 2015. The twelve casinos operating in the state produced just over $11 million in tax revenues from table games for the month as well.
The revenue increase was partially due to the average number of table games in operation. For November 2016, there were an average of 77 more tables in operation across the state each day when compared to 2015. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board showed that the increase was the 28th time that table game revenues increased during the same month when compared to the previous year since June of 2014.
Breaking down the totals on an individual casino basis, the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem earned the most at just over $19 million which is more than 11% more than November of 2015. While the Sands earned the most in gross table revenues, it was the SugarHouse Casino that saw the largest percentage increase in earnings for the month. The SugarHouse saw an increase of just over 26% with monthly earnings of $10,301,474.
As far as a decrease in table game revenues, a handful of venues came in with negative numbers. The biggest decrease in monthly revenues went to the Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin with a more than 25% decrease. Table games brought in only $319,014 for the venue. The Mohegan Sun Pocono also saw a significant decrease in table game earnings with a dip of 15.68% taking in only $2,868,969 which is far less than the $3.4 million earned for the same month in 2015.
