The debut of the new casino expansion of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians of Alabama is set to take place on the 1st of December, only a few days away. The tribe has renamed their venue the Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Montgomery and spent over $65 million on the expansion. The gaming floor now has over 2,200 gaming machines with a new entertainment venue, BB King’s Blues Club, added to the property.

Also included in the expansion project is a barber shop, a beauty salon, event center, swimming pool and retail shop. Later on in the month, the tribe plans on unveiling a new hotel with five stories and 123 guest rooms. The expansion will include an upscale restaurant, to open closer to the end of the year, called Itta Bena. A casual restaurant opened earlier this year, offering visitors lovely meal choices, at the Lucille’s Eatery.
