With the coronavirus outbreak a global situation, people are having to figure out ways to entertain themselves. For poker players, many operators have decided to offer new tournament series or festivals online for those stuck at home. It was just announced this week that Poker Central has partnered with partypoker to provide players with an alternative for online poker gaming, the Poker Masters Online festival.

Next month, players will have access to the Poker Masters Online, with 30 high roller tournaments running from the 12th to the 26th. The original Poker Masters is a live affair with the first festival taking place in 2017 at the ARIA in Las Vegas. Since then, two more Poker Masters have taken place.

However, with today’s climate and self-quarantining a must, Poker Central decided it was time to go online. Working with partypoker, the Poker Masters will now feature $15.25 million in guaranteed prize money. Buy-ins of the 30 events will range from $10,300 to $51,000.

Players will have access to Pot Limit Omaha and No-Limit Hold’em, with 8-max and 6-max formats on offer. Guarantees for the events will range from $250,000 to a whopping $2 million.

Partypoker managing director Tom Waters commented on the online festival by stating: “We are pleased to be able to give players the chance to continue doing what they love and play the tournament in online format. The Poker Masters brand carries significant weight in the poker community, and we believe this innovative online format will be appealing for fans and players alike.”

The most anticipated event of the poker festival will be the Main Event, a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with an 8-Max format. This tournament has the largest buy-in of $51,000 and offers the largest prize pool of $2 million. It will take place on April 26th.

The Poker Masters will also offer up an opportunity for players to be the Online champion. The winner will earn $50,000 in prize money plus the purple jacket.
