Hot on the heels of expanding its footprint in Latin America and Pragmatic Play has unveiled its second new title of the new year, Mysterious Egypt, which transports players to the land of the pharaohs and the great Pyramids of Giza.

Adding to its “Book of” slots, the high volatility, 5-reel, 3-row video slot has 10 paylines and a base game that features modifiers, including special mystery symbols that are in play on every spin and add to the immersive experience.

Based on ancient Egyptian artifacts, the game’s symbols include 9-A card values for the low pays, while falcons, cats, pyramids and the special Eye of Horus comprise the premiums. Landing five-of-a-kind premiums pays from 75 to 500 times the stake for the Eye of Horus symbol.

Modifiers and jackpots:

During base game play, a special mystery symbol is different on each spin, with the active one shown above the reels in a box. The randomly selected symbols can expand vertically, covering all positions on the reels they land on, and pay from any position.

The game’s extra spins mode is triggered by landing three or more of the queen symbols, which serve as the Scatter and acts as a Wild, substituting for any symbols except expanded ones. Two mystery symbols are chosen at random during the Bonus Feature and can expand throughout the entire round for a chance at significant payouts.

Commenting on the new slot, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, Yossi Barzely said in a company press release

“Packed to the rim with modifiers and jackpots, Mysterious Egypt continues to provide players with big wins, free spins and endless bonus features. Our premium range of slots continue to add innovation to playing experiences and our latest hit is no different.”

Mysterious Egypt complements the developer’s extensive slot portfolio and joins other recent hits, including another exciting addition to the popular John Hunter series, Mayan Gods, and Voodoo Magic, which was launched on Jan. 7.
