This Sunday, the Presque Isle Downs & Casino will begin the 10th year of horse racing. The live thoroughbred season will kick off with a post time set for 5:20 pm this Sunday. The number of horses housed at the facility is now going to be 800 after a new horse barn was constructed that will house 40 horses.

Presque Isle General Manager and Vice President Jeff Favre, commented on the new barn and upcoming season by stating that with more horses available to race, there will be a bigger field of competitors which means more betting action for bettors.

The venue will host horse races five nights a week until the 8th of October, with races to take place from Sunday to Thursday. The track does not charge admission and there is no charge for parking as well.
