Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi sent out emails to preferred customers on November 3, 2015 announcing that room reservations were available for the casino resort opening December 9th. The grand opening date was confirmed by a representative at the resort. The four days surrounding New Year’s Eve are already sold. Currently, some mid-week room rates are as low as $99 while some weekends are closer to $400.

D’Iberville has been waiting almost 20 years for a successful casino to come to the town, just across the bay from Biloxi. A previous effort called “D’Iberville Landing” ended in failure. Now, the city is poised for a successful venture.

George Toth heads up the resort owners company, Land Holdings I, LLC. The company has progressed on, and ahead, of schedule and early-on earned a stable rating from Moody’s – no mean feat for a casino market that has seen at least five casinos close, two in the last 2 years including Margaritaville, and Harrah’s Tunica. Scarlet Pearl held a “topping off” ceremony on June 12th, positioning the top-most piece of construction material on the casino’s hotel.

In addition to a 60,450 square foot gambling floor with 1,350 slots and video poker machines, 45 table games, and a 10 table poker room, Scarlet Pearl will feature a 14 story  hotel with 234 guestrooms, 56 Luxury Suites, and 10 Penthouse Suites. Additional amenities include a pool, fitness center, retail, and gift shop, along three restaurants and a food truck arena. Two premiere  18 hole miniature golf courses, complete with exploding volcano, round out the 24 hour casino resort’s offering.
