SportCast was created in 2013 and is considered a leader in player engagement when it comes to sports betting. The company offers pre-match and in-play options with top-quality product experiences and technologies.
Gaining BetBuilder
For Scientific Games, the acquisition will include taking on the BetBuilder product, an option developed by SportCast. With BetBuilder, players can build wagers across several markets within a single game. the User Interface (UI) creates instant pricing for the betting service.
EVP Sports for Scientific Games, Keith O’Loughlin, commented on the acquisition, stating that the technology and platforms of SportCast will help the company fuel the ‘next wave of our data-driven, global sports expansion.’
According to O’Loughlin, the BetBuilder product is the first of many innovative options that can be powered by the underlying platform to benefit the customers of the company. Scientific Games looks forward to rolling out the new options.
Top operators in major sports betting jurisdictions are not shy about adopting the instant-pricing technology. SportCast technology rollout includes over fifty brands such as Tabcorp, BetMGM, 888, British Colombia Lottery Corporation, and more.
The technology created by SportCast has the ability to process more than 12,000 bets per second within major global sports. This includes basketball, baseball, American football, and more. The brand uses proprietary cloud-based technology to provide its services to clients.

Kentucky Lottery Deal
The new acquisition comes just shortly after Scientific Games signed a new deal in Kentucky. The company is working with the state to provide instant games to the Lottery and Kroger grocery stores. The deal includes the Blackhawk Network as well.
SCiQ InLane is a new product created by Scientific Games that allows the company to expand lottery ticket sales within Kroger stores. The goal is to add new stores to the initiative, providing more access to tickets in the grocery store setting.
