American lottery and gaming machines innovator, Scientific Games Corporation, announced that it has signed on as a founding member of the non-profit All-In Diversity Project in an attempt to help foster a more inclusive and diverse global gaming industry.
The Las Vegas-headquartered firm used an official Friday press release (pdf) to detail that the All-In Diversity Project has been created in order to nurture inclusion and diversity through transparency. It explained that the scheme intends to accumulate data via employee surveys before presenting measurable and actionable tactics designed to improve diversity, inclusion and workplace equality.
As a member of the All-In Diversity Project, Scientific stated that it will now work in close cooperation with a number of partners to ascertain the ‘diversity, equity and inclusion expectations and standards for the gaming industry.’ The Nevada firm declared that this campaign is to also see it initiate ‘a conversation to establish global standards’ by talking with fellow members and creating values ‘to track the industry’s progress’ while simultaneously working to enhance its own inclusion and diversity principles.
Katharine Anderson, Diversity and Inclusion Director for Scientific Games Corp, added that her firm now intends to participate in ‘a variety of events, programs and surveys conducted in partnership with gaming industry operators and suppliers’ in hopes of ‘creating tools to advance the industry’s diversity, inclusion and workplace equality.’
