Lotteries in the US states of Iowa and Arizona, plus Loto Quebec in Canada have created new agreements with gaming products and service provider Scientific Games (SG).

Loto Quebec will be receiving online real-money gaming content via Scientific Games’ SG interactive arm. GM Luc Morin stated that along with the SG Interactive agreement, Loto Quebec will gain access to a broad spectrum of the gaming giant’s offerings.

Arizona’s lottery deal includes computer systems, software, data center operations, telecommunications, facilities management, plus retail and self-service point-of-sale technology – an agreement that will roll out over five years with an option to extend it for an additional 5-years. The state’s lottery executive director Tony Bouie perceives it will provides his agency with the best opportunity for growth in sales.

The state of Iowa will benefit by having their online services contracted out to SG. Working together with the state’s retailers, Scientific Games will provide Iowa with retail terminals, digital content displays, and ticket checkers. Iowa Lottery’s Chef executive explained that after having worked with SG for almost 20-years, that the company’s technology has helped to create growth.

In early 2015 Scientific Games published the results of their US $1 million player segmentation study showing that 74% of casino slot players also play instant lottery games, and that gaming continues to be a significant form of entertainment.
