Swedish daily fantasy sports and pool betting technologies provider Scout Gaming Group AB has announced that it is hoping to increase its presence in the budding American sportsbetting market after inking a partnership agreement with Las Vegas-headquartered counterpart, Metric Gaming.
Pair to develop innovative service:
The Stockholm-based innovator used an official Monday press release to detail that the non-exclusive arrangement will see the pair establish a sportsbetting, fantasy sports and pool betting service primarily targeted at aficionados in the United States.
Deal includes reciprocal product access:
Scout Gaming Group employs approximately 65 people at offices in Sweden, Malta, Norway and the Ukraine and stated that the deal is to also involve reciprocal product access for both parties as they work to ‘develop new products’ that will ‘coalesce sportsbetting and fantasy sports games.’
Sportsbetting for Betflex application:
As if this wasn’t enough, Scout Gaming explained that the agreement will moreover see Metric Gaming provide its Betflex application with ‘traditional sportsbetting products’ that may be utilized by players around the globe.
Agreement prompted by PASPA reversal:
Andreas Ternstrom, Chief Executive Officer for Scout, declared that the United States Supreme Court’s recent invalidation of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) has led to ‘interest from operators ready to launch a sportsbook offering in the United States as well as parties that have already launched.’

“Metric Gaming has a world-class sportsbook that, like our platform, is based on the latest technology. Through this collaboration, a leading offer for the American market, where Metric Gaming resides, will be created. At the same time, Scout Gaming Group AB gets an even broader offering for the European market by gaining access to sports odds.”
Arrangement has ‘great potential’:
For his part, Martin De Knijff, Chief Executive Officer for Metric, proclaimed that the partnership with Scout Gaming Group AB has ‘great potential’ due to the fact that both firms’ innovations ‘complement each other perfectly.’
