On October 30th, the Viejas Casino & Resort will be celebrating the official grand opening of their second hotel tower, which will offer luxury accommodations. Thousands are set to attend the opening, which will be to preset the new tower which has five stories of guest rooms. The new tower is separated by the Park at Viejas and the pool, providing additional accommodations alongside the first hotel tower.

The luxury hotel tower had a price tag of $50 million and is home to 109 deluxe guest rooms and luxury suites. The tower also provides a business center and fitness center, with a lounge and bar area on-site. Nine meeting spaces are included, with the Oak Ballroom able to accommodate 1,200 guests for events. With the expansion of the casino resort, the venue now provides 50,000 square feet of space, both outdoor and indoor combined. The accommodation options of the hotel will now include 237 rooms, including suites.

Robert Welch, the Viejas Tribal Chairman, stated that the new hotel tower and casino expansion raises the bar for guests and delivers an experience that is unmatched in the area of San Diego. With the grand opening celebration, the Viejas plans on offering an amazing tightrope performance by a famous tightrope walker. As part of the Flying Wallendas, a world-famous tightroping group, Tino Wallenda will be walking a distance set up from the original hotel tower to the new tower.

Also on the agenda are the option to test drive an Aston Martin Vantage GT, known as the Dream Machine plus fireworks and tours of the hotel tower. As the hotel tower opens, it marks the progress of the Viejas with a year-long development project. On October 9th, the casino celebrated the recent addition of slot games which includes 1,000 new games added to the expanded casino floor.
