Holder Hospitality Group is seeking bankruptcy protection for six northern Nevada casinos.  They have filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in order to prevent a court-appointed take-over of the clubs.

The casinos included in the bankruptcy are the already closed Silver Club in Sparks, the Commercial Casino and Stockmen’s Casino Hotel in Elko, the Scoreboard Casino in Spring Creek, the El Capitan in Hawthorne, and Parker’s Model T in Winniemucca.

These bankruptcy filings follow a hearing that was held two weeks ago in Washoe County District Court.  Holder had defaulted on a $33 million note held by a company who sought receivership.
