The union that is representing valet workers in Las Vegas is protesting against SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip claiming unfair treatment of workers there.
On Monday workers took to the streets to let their concerns be known according to Teamsters Local 986.
A statement from SLS said that the casino will work with any union their employees choose to represent them. They also mentioned that most of their hourly employees belong to unions. The Teamsters are working to organize the valet workers at SLS who number about 50.
There are three complaints against SLS that are pending from Local 986 with the National Labor Relations Board which say that the management has interrogated the workers about their union efforts, have threatened to reduce pay, and have reportedly threatened to outsource valet services.
According to the union, SLS has fired three employees in Las Vegas because of the efforts with the union.
