In Macau and prominent Asian junket firm, Suncity Group, has reportedly announced that it will be premiering a refurbished VIP gaming lounge inside the giant Galaxy Macau property from Tuesday.

According to a report from GGRAsia, the private firm detailed that the refreshed facility located near the colossal venue’s Diamond Lobby entrance will go live from September 24 featuring the same complement of 20 private gaming tables to again give it a Macau portfolio of some 18 such clubs.

Anniversary advantage:

GGRAsia reported that the reopening date could prove fortuitous for Suncity Group as it should allow the firm to take advantage of the forthcoming ‘Golden Week’ holiday, which is set to kick off from October 1, and better market the new-look lounge to the large numbers of Chinese tourists that are expected to visit Macau in order to celebrate their nation’s 70th birthday.

Expansive overhaul:

Located at the northern end of the Cotai Strip only a stone’s throw away from the equally impressive Venetian Macao development, the 2,200-room Galaxy Macau is owned and operated by Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited and has reportedly been upgrading some of its facilities as part of a company-wide $191.5 million revamp. It is a sister facility to the adjacent to Broadway Casino and the city’s more distant StarWorld Macau and moreover features a 550,000 sq ft gaming floor offering a selection of approximately 1,500 slots as well as some 650 gaming tables.

Prospering position:

The move from Suncity Group follows its ‘soft launch’ in mid-July of a similarly-sized private gaming lounge for Macau’s Rio Hotel and Casino, which is run by a third-party using a casino license held by Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited.
