American regional casino operator Jacobs Entertainment Incorporated has announced the signing of a deal that is set to see The Lodge Casino become the first venue outside of Nevada to offer SuperBook-branded sportbetting services.
Headquartered in the Denver suburb of Golden, the firm used an official Monday press release to describe the SuperBook brand as ‘the largest and one of the most successful sportsbooks in America’ with its flagship operation located within the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. It proclaimed that the sportbetting entity is led by Colorado native Jay Kornegay and offers ‘the industry’s most expansive wagering options’ complete with ‘best-in-class technology, first-class entertainment and award-winning customer service.’
Significant selection:
Jacobs Entertainment Incorporated detailed that the new alliance will involve The Lodge Casino, which sits in the former Colorado mining town of Black Hawk, providing online and in-house SuperBook-branded sportsbetting services subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals from the Colorado Division of Gaming. It moreover stated that these are to encompass ‘an extensive wagering menu’ that is due to embrace ‘all major championships’ for punters in ‘The Centennial State’ as well as daily proposition bets and the brand’s celebrated SuperContest attraction.
Local legitimacy:
Also responsible for venues in Louisiana and Nevada including downtown Reno’s 833-room Sands Regency Casino Hotel, Jacobs Entertainment Incorporated used the press release to declare that Kornegay’s participation in the SuperBook sportbetting arrangement is set to be ‘an added benefit Colorado fans are sure to appreciate’.
Mounting momentum:
Colorado ratified legislation in November to became the 19th American state to legalize some form of sportsbetting in the wake of 2018’s revocation of the previous Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) prohibition. The jurisdiction is home to 17 land-based casinos and has so far given a raft of a big-name operators such as Rush Street Interactive, Roar Digital Limited, William Hill and Penn Sports Interactive permission to run partner online sportsbooks.
