British online gaming, betting and lottery technologies innovator, mkodo Limited, has announced the signing of a deal that is to see it develop a fully native mobile-friendly app for the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC).

The London-headquartered firm used an official press release published by European Gaming Media and Events to reveal that the forthcoming app is set to be launched next year and will be accessible via mobile devices running both the iOS and Android operating systems. It detailed that the advance will allow the WCLC’s lottery customers to check the status of their tickets, view recent results, locate their nearest retailer and keep up to date with the latest news on jackpots and draws.

Substantial span:

Licensed by the United Kingdom’s Gambling Commission regulator, mkodo also declared that the new mobile app will be made available to users ‘in all WCLC markets,’ which encompass the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta as well as the territories of Nunavut, Yukon and the Northwest Territories, and allow these aficionados to add lottery tickets to a digital shopping cart before completing their purchase in-store.

Quadruple collaborations:

Stuart Godfree, Managing Director for mkodo, used the press release to explain that his firm now has relationships with four of the most prominent provincial lottery operators in Canada including the Atlantic Lottery Corporation and that the app for the WCLC is set to encompass ‘a host of innovative features’ that will take the operator’s ‘mobile channel to the next level.’
