Top poker pros and celebrities will be on hand this Friday when the World Poker Tour hosts their upcoming Four Kings and an Ace charity poker tournament. The World Poker Tour Foundation has organized the event to help raise money for the Mending Kids charity and have announced Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn as two of the hosts for the tournament event.
The charity event will take place at CITIZEN Beverly Hills in California on the 21st of October and see Gibson and Vaughn take on hosting responsibilities along with Andrew Garfield. The WPT Foundation and Mending Kids have worked together before to raise money for children in need and have included Gibson before for hosting duties. In 2012, an event was hosted by both groups in West Hollywood which featured Gibson, Robert Downey Jr., Jodie Foster and more as hosts.
During the event, a charity poker tournament is set to take place which should see celebrities and poker pros competing. Casino games will be offered as well as a silent and live auction. Mike Sexton, who is an Ambassador for the WPT as well as member of the Poker Hall of Fame, will be on hand to compete, as well as top pros Lynn Gilmartin, Scotty Nguyen and Erik Seidel.
Those interested in attending the event can pay $500 just to rub elbows with the celebrities and poker pros in attendance. If you want to compete in the actual tournament event, the cost is $5,000 to attend and have a seat at the felt. Donations are also accepted by those who want to give but cannot attend.
The World Poker Tour Foundation works hard to raise money for a variety of charities and has been able to contribute over $6 million over the years. Mending Kids will benefit during this event, an organization that was created ten years ago to provide life-saving surgical care for children.
