Online casino games developer Yggdrasil Gaming Limited has further expanded its international reach after inking an agreement that will see it supply its innovations to prominent iGaming operator Betsson AB.
Yggdrasil Gaming Limited is a subsidiary of Swedish online casino operator Cherry AB and the last few months has seen it sign similar partnerships with the likes of GVC Holdings and Lottomatica.
Malta-based Yggdrasil Gaming Limited explained that the deal with Betsson AB represents the 19th such arrangement it has agreed with European online casino operators over the past year and means that its games will be coming to a number of new markets such as Denmark, Latvia and Spain as well as Italy where they may already be enjoyed via StarCasino.it.
Yggdrasil Gaming Limited received its first license in 2013 while the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Fredrik Elmqvist, declared that Betsson AB had been one of his company’s first customers after they agreed an initial partnership only a year later. He stated that both have since ‘gone from strength to strength’ and that the new arrangement has updated their relationship ‘into something more comprehensive’ that will allow them to take into account ‘the increased scale of both businesses now operating across multiple jurisdictions’.
“This framework will ensure that the deep and strategic partnership between Yggdrasil [Gaming Limited] and Betsson [AB] continues to flourish,” read a statement from Elmqvist.
For his part, Andy Broughton Braithwaite from Betsson AB proclaimed that games from Yggdrasil Gaming Limited have been ‘a popular choice with our players across many countries and brands’ before describing the new deal as ‘an important extension of an already successful partnership’.
