Online casino games developer, Yggdrasil has entered into an agreement with Finnish national betting agency, Veikkaus, that will see it supply its premier casino games content to the government-owned operator.

According to the official press release…

Managed by the Finnish Ministry of Education, Veikkaus has an exclusive legal betting license on sports betting and lotteries in the Northern European nation. It is the country’s largest and only regulated gambling operator, both online and offline. Last year it has a turnover of €3.2 billion (US$3.6 billion).

Finland’s largest operator:

A World Lottery Association member, the company has upwards of two million customers. Additionally, it’s www.veikkaus.fi gaming service is the largest online casino in Finland and it attracts approximately 700,000 players on a weekly basis.

According to the terms of the agreement, the Finish operator will utilize the developer’s portfolio of high-quality titles including its most recent launches, Wolf Hunters, its fang-tastic quest-based adventure slot; Hanzo’s Dojo, a martial arts inspired action title; and Penguin City.

In-game promotional tools:

In addition to Yggdrasil’s content, Veikkaus will also have access to the Stockholm-headquartered provider of superior online gaming solutions for igaming operators’ in-game promotional tools, BOOST. Access to this proprietary range of tools will enable Veikkaus’ partner operators to run promotions instantly from the client game.

Yggdrasil currently provides gaming content to some of the world’s leading operators such as Unibet, LeoVegas, bet365.com, Betsson,  William Hill, Unibet and others. Over the last few months, the company has entered into similar content deals with the likes of Swedish operator Svenska Spel, along with the country’s principal horseracing operator, AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) and Finnish online casino operator Paf, just to name a few.
