Continuing to make strides on its regulatory market strategy, Yggdrasil has been awarded a Greek supplier license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). The license allows the Swedish iGaming software company to make its games portfolio available to operators and players in the southeastern European country where online gaming regulations have recently been revised.

A broad range of the Cherry AB subsidiary’s hit titles, including those that feature its proprietary Game Engagement Mechanics (GEM), are now able to be accessed by operators in the Greek market. Additionally, exclusive content from third-party studios via the company’s flagship distribution program YG Masters will also be made available.
Confirmed partnerships:
According to Yggdrasil, it has already inked partnership deals with a number of leading Greek operators and will provide further details regarding the arrangements over the coming months.
Lauded as another “milestone” in its regulatory market strategy, the Greek supplier license was made possible by the company capitalizing on an ISO/IEC27001 accreditation it was granted in October 2020. Awarded when a set level of information security standards has been reached, the international certification enables Yggdrasil to further expand into new global markets.

Yggdrasil also explains that Greece’s online gaming market is “showing impressive growth” and with the emergence of new operators in the country set to take place, “it provides an exciting opportunity” to expand its presence across Europe.
