Melco Crown Entertainment filed their paperwork with the regulators in Hong Kong showing losses in 2014. Business World reported Monday April 13, 2015 that Melco Crown lost P6.3 billion in 2014 which is 156% more of a loss than reported in 2013. The company is affected by casino operations in City of Dreams, the Manila Philippines casino resort area.

City of Dreams had a soft opening in December of 2014. The first year revenue was P53 million, but casino reports for 2014 show a jump up to P430 million. With gaming, hotel, entertainment, and retail all a part of the complex gamblers have been more interested in City of Dreams than well established locations. Solaire has done well in the Entertainment City complex and two more mega-resorts will open there soon.

Melco Crown has filed to voluntarily delist from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as of January 2, a move overwhelmingly supported by shareholders, so this may be the last report we see to the HKEx.
