Bourbon Square Casino in the Victorian Square of Sparks, Nevada is being sold and will close soon. The former Silver Club was completely refurbished after being closed for several years and re-opened in August 2013. Reports indicate that a new casino will not be opened in its place. The hotel portion could become multi-family residential housing and the casino space may be used for offices. The casino is expected to close no later than February 5th. He had already said he would retire at the end of the legislative session. 20th Century Fox plans to build a 75 acre theme park and casino in the southeastern Korean municipality of Changwon City. The project is expected to be completed in 2018. It will be built in the 700-acre Ungdong Entertainment Complex and be called Twentieth Century Fox World Korea. An Australian company, Village Roadshow Ltd., will be the park operator. Hard Rock applies for Atlantic City gaming license

Hard Rock Casinos still has an interest in Atlantic City and submitted its application for a gaming license to the state Casino Control Commission.   Hard Rock Casino’s chairman and CEO Jim Allen said there have been talks between Hard Rock and the new owner of the Revel Casino property Glenn Straub who purchased the bankrupt Revel for $95.4 million dollars, however stressed that there was no agreements.  He also said Hard Rock had a bid on the Revel Casino, but no amount was disclosed. Phu Quoc, the heart-shaped paradise island in southern Kien Giang province has been given the green light by the Vietnamese government to build a casino and entertainment complex on “Pear Island”. The 30,000 square meter (322,917 sq ft) casino would host between 200 and 400 gaming tables and as many as 2,000 slot machines. No local nor foreign investors have been identified for the project, but reports indicate that Vietnamese money is favored for the venture. According to the Seattle Times, Great American Casino, in Kent, Washington will close their doors on March 14th. We have not been able to confirm with the owners or managers as of press time. Phone calls have been met with busy signals at the casino as the word spreads about the demise of this once popular fixture about 10 miles from SEATAC.
