After reaching a major milestone earlier this month involving the construction of the Four Winds South Bend Casino, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians has announced they are now preparing to open an employment office for the venue. On Monday, the Four Winds Casino employment office will open inside Union Station on W. South Street, operating as a primary human resources office for the gaming venue. The casino is expected to hire as many as 1,200 with the new employment office serving as a home base.

Individuals interested in employment opportunities within the new casino can visit the office from 8 am until 5 pm to fill out an application. The office will be open Monday through Friday. Human resources staff members will be available to help individuals fill out applications.

Yesterday marked the first day that one of several job fairs took place for the new South Bend casino. Jackson Middle School hosted the first event with individuals able to fill out applications and learn more about positions available. The next job fairs to take place will include one on August 5th, September 9th and October 3rd.

In a report by South Bend Tribune, the Chief Operating Officer Frank Freedman stated that the new employment office was placed at Union Station as it is a central location for those interested in learning more about employment positions available as well as to fill out applications. The area was chosen for the new employment office due to Union Station being a key economic development area.
