Hot on the heels of its three-vertical deal with Begame Group, and Pragmatic Play has partnered with British sports media company DAZN Group for its new DAZN Bet-branded sportsbook, which is expected to soft launch this summer in August.
The strategic agreement will see the UK company’s soon-to-be-launched betting platform gain access to Pragmatic Play’s player-favorite online slots titles, such as the Ancient Greek-themed Gates of Olympus, as well as its popular live casino solution, including the mega wheel-style game Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, and its virtual sports product.
The B2B provider’s portfolio of digital games will grow over time and be accessible to DAZN Bet customers in the multiple regulated territories it reportedly plans to do business in.
Natural Winner:
“We are certain that DAZN BET will be a natural winner and fantastic new entrant into our sector, positioning sports and gaming right where the viewers are enjoying their content,” read a statement from Julian Jarvis, Chief Executive Officer of Pragmatic Play.
The new business is in keeping with the UK company’s desire to diversify its revenue streams via online betting, while the new betting service will leverage the existing customer base of its flagship property DAZN, a global sports subscription streaming platform, courtesy of a brand licensing agreement with the Feltham-headquartered Group.
Who’s Who:
Pragmatic Solutions, which, along with Pragmatic Play is owned by Pragmatic Group, will reportedly supply the operator with the underlying technology platform and Player Account Management (PAM) solution, while also handling content and product development.
London-based internet business investment development company IBID Group acquired Pragmatic Play in July 2016 and Pragmatic Solutions in February 2017.
Positioned For Success:
Also commenting on the comprehensive partnership, Mark Kemp (pictured), Chief Executive Officer for DAZN BET, said…
“DAZN BET are excited to partner with Pragmatic and their excellent player management & igaming products, for supporting the international launches of the new DAZN BET brand.
“DAZN BET is committed to providing a future world class betting & gaming product for sports fans to enjoy recreationally & responsibly. High quality player management technology and access to some of the best igaming content on the market positions us for success in the new international markets we are focused on.”
Kemp, who will reportedly depart BoyleSports, where he is currently Chief Executive Officer, in July, will be joined by former Entain Chief Operating Officer Sandeep Tiku, who will serve as DAZN Bet Chief Technology Officer in July, as well.
Begame Group Deal:
As mentioned, the new alliance is on the back of Pragmatic Play’s three-vertical deal with iGaming company Begame Group, which has seen its slots, live casino and bingo products go live with the London-headquartered operator.
Included in the multi-product package is a range of slots, including hits like the player-favorite John Hunter series and the award-winning Gates of Olympus, which players on the operator’s online casino brands such as Fruitkings, Playsunny, Peachygames and Casushi, now have access to.
Customers are also able to enjoy Pragmatic Play’s bingo content and its entire live casino portfolio, which includes traditional titles like Blackjack and Roulette, in addition to Mega Wheel, which gives players the feeling of being on their favorite TV game show, and the innovative Sweet Bonanza CandyLand.
What They’re Saying:
Commenting on the agreement, Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, said…
“Begame Group is a rapidly growing company with a reputation to match, and their ambition really struck a chord with us. We pride ourselves on partnering with forward-looking companies and this agreement allows us to maintain our commercial trajectory.”
For its part, Beagame Group, Head of Casino, Jordan Rosamond, explained that they wouldn’t be where they are today without the “wide array of pioneering content” that brands such as Pragmatic Play produce.
“Everything we do is to ensure that our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and this agreement reinforces that with fresh, engaging games.”
