The FDJ Group has announced that they have named Andy Wright as the new Sporting Group CEO. The FDJ Group stated that the previous Sporting Group CEO in Simon Trim is stepping down from that role within the organization, but Trim will remain on board with the FDJ Group as a special advisor to the CEO in order to support the group.
FDJ Group is extremely satisfied to appoint Andy Wright as the next CEO of Sporting Group. Trim has been employed by the FDJ Group for the last 23 years as well as the previous 5 years as CEO. During his time as CEO Trim was responsible for managing the effective assimilation of the Sporting Group into the FDJ Group following their acquisition merger that took place in June of 2019.
Simon Trim will now be accepting the position of and serving as the Special Advisor to the CEO who is now named as Wright. Over the course of the upcoming few months Trim will be expected to support a flawless conversion of the organization’s leadership as well as assist in acquiring and implementing specific strategic growth initiatives moving forward as the FDJ Group looks to expand in the near future.
Andy Wright’s Industry Experience
Wright has in excess of 20 years of experience in various senior leadership positions throughout several jurisdictions within the gambling industry as well as the online gaming market. Andy’s most recent job prior to this involved leading Tabcorp’s Wagering arm in the great country of Australia. Wright has also previously worked as a valued member of Ladbrokes Executive Leadership staff as the organization’s Group Trading Director.
