The Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE) kicked off today, celebrating the 10th year of a successful run as the premiere Eastern European gaming exhibition. The event is being held in three halls at the Inter Expo Center in Bulgari’s capital city of Sofia. The show’s opening date overlaps the end date of the Eastern European Gaming Summit, which concluded at the Inter Expo Center today.

Many new initiatives have been added to this year’s show including a Startup zone, Innovation zone, Sales Pitch corner, and a Gaming Startup Challenge contest.

Making their first appearances at the event will be up and coming concerns as well as long-established gaming sector companies who have come to see the importance of gaming in the Balkans. JCM Europe GmbH, Zitro, Gamebridge Casino Equipment, and Road Games International will be among the companies attending for the first time. They will join legacy participants such as Novomatic, Merkur Gaming, IGT, Alfastreet, Innovative Technology, and many more.

There are nearly 70 exhibitors from 20 different countries with displays on the show floors. In addition, special presentations such as Miss Gaming BEGE 2017 and the BEGE Awards bring depth to the industry exhibition with the awards providing a luxurious grand finale during the official organizer’s party.

As in previous years, event organizers have made accommodations for students of the industry to volunteer their time in a sort of apprenticeship program that allows participants to interview executives, and generally interact with important gaming officials and other visitors in various capacities.

Networking opportunities abound at the expo with an informal atmosphere and plenty of social activities to bring entrepreneurs, experts, and seasoned exhibitors together.

Bulgaria is considered the technology hub of the Balkans and high tech solution providers are on hand to display their wares, concepts, and technologies. A full array of service sector providers and equipment suppliers for the land-based gaming industry are on hand as well.

The exhibition is organized by the Bulgarian Association of Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry (BTAMOGI). To learn more, please visit http://www.balkangamingexpo.com/en/
