iGaming Business – Bookmaker Betfred has revealed that it selected interactive gaming software and services provider GTECH to provide the technology for the launch of its new interactive sports betting operation in Australia.
Under the deal, Betfred utilised GTECH’s MarginMaker platform to support the launch of its new Australian sportsbook product in May of this year.
Betfred has established operations in Sydney and Darwin under a licence issued by the Northern Territory gaming Commission.
GTECH has served as the primary supplier to Betfred in the UK for more than 10 years, with the deal expanding this relationship to an international level.
“We tasked GTECH and Betfred’s front-end development agency, Degree 53, in developing a new stand-alone system with a localised offering for the Australian market,” Betfred Australia managing director Luke Brill said.
