A new casino facility is preparing to open in Delta, after over three years of construction. The Cascades Casino Delta will offer services beginning on September 29, 2022, with an investment of $99 million to create the property. The casino was designed by the IBI Group, and it located in 11 acres of land. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment is behind the project, ready to offer visitors 42,000 square feet of gaming space, including 500 slot machines and 18 live table games. The property will also include a few electronic tables.

What to Expect from Cascades Casino Delta

The new casino will offer gaming of course but will also include a five-story hotel with 124 guest rooms. The hotel has meeting space and conference rooms for events. For dining, guests of the casino can enjoy The Summit Bar, The Buffet, and the Match Eatery & Public House.

The casino is ready to bring new life to the Delta region, offering quality entertainment and benefits to the economy. The project was first deliberated in 2018 with the Delta City Council noting that the municipal government would receive 10% of proceeds annually. It is expected that the casino will bring around $3 million to the region each year.

Around 600 jobs will be offered via the casino with Gateway still searching for employees. The casino needs to fill all opening positions before the grand opening later this month.

More About Gateway Casino & Entertainment

The Gateway Casino & Entertainment group is ready to get the new casino open, to add to its collection of gaming properties. The company currently offers casino gaming in several regions across Canada including Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta. In total, the company operates around 14,000 slot games and offers nearly 600 hotel rooms. The properties are also home to more than 80 restaurants and bars.

For the Cascades brand, Gateway will offer six casinos once the Cascades Casino Delta opens. The company already operates three Cascades venues in British Columbia. Two casinos are offered in Vancouver by Gateway but operate as Starlight and Grand Villa brands.

The new property will mark the first new venue for the company since the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in casino closures and restrictions. For the past few years, casinos in Canada have been trying to recover from the pandemic and earn more revenues as they did post-COVID. It will be interesting to see how the new Cascades venue performs once it is fully operational, offering new services in the Delta region.
