On September 25th, the 3rd edition of the Central and Eastern European Gaming Conference (CEEGC) will take place, hosted by the Ritz-Carlton Budapest. The CEEGC is a top boutique gaming conference that offers insight into the gaming industry of the region of Central Europe with educational and networking opportunities for attendees.
This year, the CEEGC Budapest will host panel discussions that will feature new market updates including the country of Slovakia. The country will be opening their online casino market to operators that are licensed internationally by updating their existing gambling laws with drafted legislation that may take affect as soon as March of next year.
The changes would rearrange the legal framework of the Slovakian gambling industry completely. The new legislation was created in response to recent trends involving digitization which affects the gaming industry. The country is also trying to increase consumer protections involving gaming.
During the CEEGC, the Sales Director of Playtech, Štefan Švec, will be speaking during the panel titled “Focus on Central Europe,” presenting the State of the Slovakian Gambling Market discussion. Švec has more than ten years of experience in the retail and online gaming industry, with a focus on the Central and Eastern European countries.
Along with this discussion, the CEEGC 2018 will feature panels focusing on regulation and compliance covering Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Belarus and Slovakia.
