Landing International Development Ltd, a real estate developer based in China, announced Thursday via press release that their Jeju Shinhwa World project will have its “official opening” on December 8. The South Korean casino facility at the resort project will be ready for gaming on that day.
The developer of the project has been working hard to see the resort come to fruition. Back in August, it was announced that an agreement had been made with the Four Seasons brand to see a luxury resort created on-site. While this hotel will not be ready until 2019, the project will still see its grand opening this December with at least gaming on offer.
According to GGRAsia, the press release stated that the firm plans on using an additional $300 million on the Jeju Island project. This area is a popular destination among tourists from China. In April this year, the firm had announced the opening of Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World, a 344-unit resort condominium located on-site.
Also included in the recent press release, it was announced that Shinhwa Theme Park would be opening on the 30th of September. The facility will offer rides and attractions, with 15 in total, provided by TUBAn. The TUBAn group specializes in 3D work via their digital animation studio based in South Korea. Even more will be on offer from the project in November when YG Town opens. Operated by YG Entertainment, this facility will provide a themed bar and café.
According to the press release, the facilities that will open on December 8th at Jeju Shinwha World will include the following:
- The Marriott Resort Jeju Shinhwa World hotel
- Landing-branded hotel
- Restaurants
- Shopping mall
- On-site casino
- Conferences and exhibitions (MICE) center
- Meetings incentives
Completion of the full project is expected by the end of 2019 once the Four Seasons Resort & Spa plus Lionsgate Movie World project are completed.
