DraftKings opens its newest sports betting venue in Columbus, Ohio, on May 9, 2024. This will be the fourth on-site location in the city, and it will be located in the trendy Short North Arts District.

DraftKings is one of the leading online sports betting companies in the US. In collaboration with Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, also operates PBR Cowboy Bar, located in Easton Town Center, at the former Melt Bar & Grilled site, on 840 North High Street. The bar was opened in February 2024, and it combines the sports bar with a sportsbook and restaurant.
Apart from this bar and soon-to-be-opened DraftKings Sports & Social, the company currently operates two more sites in Detroit and Nashville.
The new bar will be placed across 5,500 square feet. It will feature an advanced LED media wall across 37 feet, as well as high-definition TV sets. On top of that, all customers who are at least 21 and have the DraftKings Sportsbook app downloaded will be able to place their bets through it, furthermore, there’s an opportunity to participate in various fantasy sports challenges which will be held every day through their mobile phones.
In the new place, the visitors will be able to watch the games of Ohio State, the Columbus Crew, and the Columbus Blue Jackets along with local celebrities and DJs. There will also be various in-game entertainment, fan cams, as well as impressive audio-visual effects, and giveaways with fantastic prizes for the luckiest fans.

As The Columbus Dispatch reports, the visitors will be able to enjoy a range of options on an extensive restaurant menu the partners prepared. There will be all the treats sports fans would enjoy, including burgers, sandwiches, wings, tacos, flatbreads, salads, and various appetizers that will satisfy even the picky eaters.
Sports betting in Ohio:
The bar opens on May 9 at 9pm and its working hours will be from 11am to 11pm from Sundays through Wednesdays, and from Thursdays through Saturdays it will be open from 11am to 2am
Sports betting was approved in Ohio in 2021, and it became legal on January 1, 2023, when Governor Mike DeWine signed it into law. At the moment, the bettors can place their bets at the Hollywood Casino, Eldorado Scioto Downs, and Fanatics Sportsbook that has been opened in 2023 just outside the famous Nationwide Arena.
