Top daily sports betting company DraftKings has announced they are continuing their expansion into Europe by now offering their product in Austria and Ireland. DraftKings was able to begin offering services within the two countries thanks to the Malta Gaming Authority providing the company with a Controlled Skill Game License.

According to Legalsportsreport.com, the CEO of DraftKings, Jason Robins, announced the expansion. Robins reportedly stated that Europe sports fans are embracing the game inside the game via contest and content from the company. He said the decision to launch in Austria and Ireland was an easy one as DraftKings looked for locations to expand their European footprint based on the regions renowned passion for sports.

In the announcement, DraftKings noted that both Ireland and Austria have a love for sports, with mixed martial arts and golf popular sports in Ireland and American football enjoyed by sports fans in Austria. In both countries, DraftKings will be offering their full list of sports categories, which includes ten options.

DraftKings already provides services in the United States, Canada, Germany, Malta and the United Kingdom. The company is not fully functional in the United States as there are a few individual states where DFS is considered illegal or a gray area. The company has plans to continue to expand in 2018.
