Since being founded in 2006, Evolution Gaming has been the recipient of a myriad of awards and this year is no different, as the world-leading B2B provider of video-streamed Live Casino has been named Live Casino Supplier of the Year at the EGR Global B2B Awards 2020 for the 11th consecutive time!

Having been completely transformed by the pandemic, the prestigious awards ceremony took on a virtual format for 2020, with the winners being announced July 21-23. ‘Software Categories‘ kicked off the three-day event and the Sweden-based company managed to beat out 12 top suppliers who were among those shortlisted for the accolade.

Continuing innovation:

After the ceremony, Chief Executive Officer for Evolution Gaming Group AB (EVO:Stockholm), Martin Carlesund commented on the company’s continued growth and success, stating in the official press release (pdf)…

“The past 12 months have seen Evolution once again push the boundaries of what is possible in Live Casino. In terms of the way Evolution has continued to develop and introduce ground-breaking new products, it has been a most encouraging year — and all despite a very challenging global situation brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Carlesund added…

“We introduced a record number of 12 new games in that period. Our exclusive and unique game show games portfolio continued to grow with new titles such as Mega Ball and Crazy Time becoming immediate player favourites and major commercial successes. We also continued to reinvent and reinvigorate classic casino games for the next generation of players, with Lightning Baccarat, Speed Blackjack and Power Blackjack all joining an already hugely varied and entertaining portfolio of both Live and First Person games.  Additionally, we put in place the foundations to expand our operations with the construction of our new studio in Pennsylvania, which is just one of a number of exciting new studio developments in the pipeline.”

The CEO concluded…

“I know I can speak for everyone at Evolution when I say we are extremely proud to have retained this award. Once again, our people have worked tirelessly to extend our position as the number one Live Casino supplier and to deliver an exceptional Live Casino experience for players. Our licensees, meanwhile, have been extremely loyal and always receptive to innovative new ideas that enrich our whole sector. My sincere thanks to everyone.”

Award criteria:

Officiated by UK accounting giant, Deloitte, the EGR B2B Awards’ Software and network categories include Live Casino Supplier for which the key criteria are:

  • Product development

Awards, partnerships and acquisitions:

In addition to the EGR B2B Awards win, Evolution scored a double victory at the Gaming Intelligence Awards, winning Casino Supplier of the Year and Game of the Year for MONOPOLY Live, won Online Casino Supplier of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards, and Casino Content Supplier of the Year at the EGR Nordics Awards.

While the past 12 months may be a period of repeat victories for the Riga, Latvia-headquartered company, it has also launched multiple new products, such as its super-fast Speed Blackjack, its first lottery-style game, Mega Ball, and Crazy Time, its unique live online game show built on its Dream Catcher money wheel concept.

It’s also been a year of new alliances, having signed strategic partnerships with international gaming supplier and operator, INTRALOT, US online casino operator, and owner of premier casino resort destinations in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Laughlin, Biloxi and Lake Charles, Golden Nugget, and with Groupe Partouche to deliver online Live Casino services to the regulated Swiss market.

But by far the company’s biggest announcement for 2020 has to be its offer to buy leading provider of premium gaming solutions, NetEnt AB, for 19.6 billion Swedish crowns ($2.12 billion) in stock.
